Formula used
X% of Y = (X / 100) × Y. Part as a percentage of whole = (part / whole) × 100. Percentage change = ((new value − original value) / original value) × 100.
Example calculation
15% of 200 equals 30. If 40 is compared with 200, then 40 is 20% of 200. If a value changes from 100 to 120, the percentage change is 20%.
What the result means
The result shows the percentage calculation based on the mode you choose. For percentage change, positive values mean an increase and negative values mean a decrease.
