How this calculator works
How to use this calculator
Enter trip distance, fuel efficiency, and fuel price. Choose whether your fuel efficiency is in miles per gallon, kilometers per liter, or liters per 100 km.
Formula used
For mpg: Fuel Used = Distance ÷ MPG. For km/L: Fuel Used = Distance ÷ km/L. For L/100 km: Fuel Used = Distance × L/100 km ÷ 100. Fuel Cost = Fuel Used × Fuel Price.
Example calculation
A 300-mile trip at 30 mpg uses 10 gallons. At $3.50 per gallon, fuel cost is $35.
